Community Development Foundation

The Community Development Foundation was established in 2003 and got registered in 2005 under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies Act of 1961. It is one of the few people-centered organizations that have grown within the local community of North Sindh. Being an indigenous organization, CDF takes extra care to protect the interests of beneficiaries and help bring change to achieve a just and humane community.

Started as a small community organization, providing vocational training and placement services to the poor households in Jacobabad district, CDF has grown increasingly in scope and size to be at the forefront of community development in North Sindh.

CDF mainly works with the vulnerable communities of Sindh, focusing on their key development issues by putting forward the demands of equitable share in public support and growth opportunities. Responding to various disasters in Pakistan, CDF supported the affected communities in their rehabilitation and reconstruction work. The organization has program interventions in five districts of North Sindh. Environmental Justice, Gender Justice, Community Empowerment and Equal Access to Resources are few of its themes covered in every program. The organization achieves the objectives of longer-term sustainability in development initiatives by building upon the strategy of promoting community leadership in all of its executed programs.
