Sukaar Welfare Organization is a non-government, non-profitable Community development organization that has been working in District Umerkot-Sindh Province. It was established by a group of young community development professionals, human rights activists, researchers, and concerned citizens in 2013 under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance, 1961. The organization hopes to reduce poverty and to contribute to secure, equitable and prosperous society. The organization aims to empower women and youth by providing them with knowledge, awareness and skills that enable them to prosper. Sukaar Welfare Organization-Umerkot has worked on ten projects/Activities with national, international donors/partners, including Action Aid Pakistan, Right To Play, DAI-EDACE, SRPO, National Rural Support Program (NRSP), Center for Peace and Development Initiatives (CPDI), Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aaghai (ITA), PHC-Global and Civil Society Human, and Institutional Development Programme (CHIP) Islamabad.
