Disabled Welfare Association is a Karachi West-based not-for-profit organization established in 2000 and registered in 2003 under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance, 1961. The organization is the representative DPO of the community of persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Sindh. It has been given an opportunity by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to include and maximize participation of PWDS in the electoral process for 'General Elections, 2018'. A DWA representative was hired as Long Term Observer (LTO) who participated in trainings conducted by FAFEN and executed FAFEN’s plan of action designed to facilitate PWDs in the elections, 2018. |
