ISLAMABAD, October 12, 2012: Starting 30 minutes late, the fifth sitting of ongoing 86th session on Friday continued to witness low attendance of Senators as only eight were present at the outset and 15 were there at the adjournment of the sitting.
ISLAMABAD, October 11, 2012: The National Assembly, which met for two hour and 14 minutes during the fifth sitting of the ongoing session, continued to witness low interest of legislators. Only 88 Members were present at the outset of the sitting while 45 were there at the adjournment.

ISLAMABAD, October 11: The prices of vegetables increased in September as compared with August – onions up 14%, tomatoes (12%) and potatoes (6%), a Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) report says. The report released on Thursday said the July-September 2012 quarter saw a continuous increase in vegetable prices.

A total of 36 Items appeared on the agenda, including four bills and six resolutions, which were left unaddressed. The sitting was also marked by low attendance of Members as 82 were present at the start and 72 at the adjournment.
ISLAMABAD, October 9, 2012: Starting an hour late, the second sitting of 86th session on Tuesday witnessed relatively better attendance of Senators towards the end of the sitting – 40– than the previous sitting. However, only 16 were present at the outset of the sitting.
