ISLAMABAD, November 6, 2013: Starting 10 minutes late, the National Assembly continued debate on the recent drone attacks in North Waziristan Agency during the third sitting of the ongoing sixth session, says Free and Fair Election Network on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD, November 5, 2013: The Lower House continued debate on American drone attacks during the second sitting of the sixth session on Tuesday. Nine members shared their views on the subject. Two JUIF MNAs and one member each from PPPP, AMLP, MQM, JI, PMLN, PTI and an independent member took part in the debate which consumed two hours and 49 minutes of the proceedings.

ISLAMABAD, November 4, 2013: The National Assembly suspended the regular agenda on the Orders of the Day to debate the American drone attacks during the first sitting of the sixth session, on Monday.

ISLAMABAD, September 27, 2013: The fifth session of the National Assembly was prorogued on Friday as the House adopted two resolutions and a motion of thanks to express gratitude to the President for his address to the parliament’s joint session during its tenth and final sitting.

ISLAMABAD, September 26, 2013: The National Assembly adopted four resolutions during the ninth sitting of the fifth session on Thursday. The resolutions called for the government to ensure security in Islamabad Capital Territory and to control the use of fake SIMs, rising prices of petroleum and load shedding.

ISLAMABAD, September 25, 2013: The National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution expressing solidarity with the Balochistan earthquake victims and urged the government to take relief measures for rehabilitation during the eighth sitting of its fifth session on Wednesday.

ISLAMABAD, September 24, 2013: The National Assembly continued to debate the twin suicide blasts on a church in Peshawar during the seventh sitting of the fifth session on Tuesday. The House debated the motion under rule 259, which was moved by Minister for Science and Technology on September 23, for five hours and three minutes.

ISLAMABAD, September 23, 2013: The National Assembly suspended regular agenda and unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the suicide bombings on a church in Peshawar, during the sixth sitting of its fifth session, on Monday.

ISLAMABAD, September 20, 2013: The Federal Court (Repeal) Bill, 2013 was introduced and sent to the relevant committee during the fifth sitting of the National Assembly’s fifth session, on Friday. The Prime Minister did not attend the proceedings. The Speaker presided over the sitting in the presence of the Leader of the Opposition, the parliamentary leaders of PMLF, JI, PkMAP, QWP and the sole APML MNA.
