Points of Order Consume Almost Two Thirds of 12th Sitting Time

ISLAMABAD, April 26, 2011: The National Assembly met for an hour and 53 minutes in the 12th sitting of the ongoing 30th session, which was marked by 29 Points of Order being raised by the members consuming almost two thirds of the sitting time (64% of total sitting time). The sitting which started 70 minutes late witnessed low attendance of Members, with only 63 Members present at the beginning and 102 present when the sitting was adjourned.

Points of Order Consume More Than Half of 11th Sitting Time

ISLAMABAD, April 25, 2011: The National Assembly met for two hours and 51 minutes in the 11th sitting of the ongoing 30th session with low attendance of the members. The sitting which started 64 minutes late witnessed low attendance of Members, with only 72 Members present at the beginning and 53 present when the sitting was adjourned.

30th NA Session Low Attendance 10th Sitting Meets for an Hour

ISLAMABAD, April 22, 2011: The National Assembly met for an hour and 40 minutes during the tenth sitting of the ongoing 30th session. The sitting which started 55 minutes late witnessed low attendance of Members, with only 65 Members present at the beginning and 112 present when the sitting was adjourned.

Low Attendance 9th Sitting Debates on Presidential Address

ISLAMABAD, April 21, 2011: The National Assembly met for three hours and 39 minutes in the ninth sitting of the ongoing 30th session. The issue of lack of Quorum persisted during the ninth sitting as well. It was visibly lacking at various stages of the sitting but was not pointed out by any of the Members. As many as 45 Members were present at outset of the sitting, while only 26 were present when the sitting was adjourned.

POs Consume More Than Half of Eighth Sitting Time

ISLAMABAD, April 20, 2011: The National Assembly met for four hours and 15 minutes with low Members’ attendance during the eighth sitting of the ongoing 30th session. A total of 68 Members were present at the outset, while 72 were present when the sitting was adjourned. The Quorum was visibly lacking at various stages of the sitting, but it was not pointed out by any of the Members.
