KP Assembly: Four Bills Introduced, One Resolution Adopted

ISLAMABAD, October 2, 2015: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly witnessed introduction of four bills and adopted one resolution during the 62nd sitting of 15th session on Friday, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN).

The bills introduced in the House included the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill 2015, the Provincial Services Academy (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) (Amendment) Bill 2015, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Foundation Bill 2015 and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Journalists Welfare Endowment Fund (Amendment) Bill 2015.

Tabled by QWP lawmaker, the House adopted a resolution to remove airport tax being charged from international passengers.

The sitting started 22 minutes behind the schedule with 30 lawmakers (24%) present at the start and 50 (40%) at the time of adjournment.
