KP Assembly: Opposition Boycott Leads to Adjournment of Sitting

ISLAMABAD, March 4, 2014: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly was adjourned soon after the boycott of the opposition during eighth sitting of its ongoing 10th session on Tuesday, says Free and Fair Election Network in its Daily Factsheet.

Female lawmaker of PPPP walked out of the sitting twice for non-provision of funds to opposition members, and was soon joined by the entire opposition and the session had to be adjourned.

A privilege motion of an independent lawmaker over non-cooperative attitude of Hangu police on the issue of extortion activities in the district was sent to the relevant committee.
