KP Assembly Passes Ehtesab Commission Bill, 2014

ISLAMABAD, January 7, 2014: The KP Assembly passed the Ehtesab Commission Bill, 2014 after the special committee gave its approval and laid the report during 2nd sitting of the 9th session of the provincial assembly, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet based on direct observation of the House.

Additionally, two ordinances were laid in the House. The KP Ministers (Salaries, Allowances and Privileges) (Amendment) Ordinance, 2013 was tabled by Information Minister while the KP Promotion, Protection and Enforcement of Human Rights Ordinance, 2013 was moved by Finance Minister.

Nine out of 19 Starred questions appearing on Orders of the Day were raised and subsequently responded to by the relevant minister. Additionally, 11 questions were asked from the concerned ministries.

An adjournment motion raised by a PML-N member was taken up regarding the acquisition of KP land by the Gilgit-Baltistan government to build power house for Bhasha Dam.

No point of order was raised during the sitting.
