Last Sitting Marked by Low attendance

ISLAMABAD, March 12, 2012: The last sitting of the Punjab Assembly witnessed low attendance of MPAs on Monday, as 13 Members were present at the start and only nine at the adjournment.

Starting an hour and five minutes behind schedule, the sitting lasted two hours and 33 minutes. The Quorum was visibly lacking at various stages of the sitting. It was pointed out by a female MPA of the PML.

Ten out of 31 Starred Questions listed for the Question Hour were responded by the relevant ministries.

A Resolution suggesting reserved parliamentary quota for disabled persons was adopted by the House.
