LG (Amendment) Bill Introduced in Balochistan Assembly

ISLAMABAD, February 26, 2015: Starting 52 minutes behind schedule, the second sitting of the 16th session of Balochistan Assembly witnessed introduction of the Balochistan Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2015 on Thursday, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet.

The sitting was marked by low attendance as 24 members (37%) were present at the outset while 26 (40%) were there at the adjournment of the sitting.

The House did not take up any question on the agenda due to the absence of ministers for Public Health Engineering and Provincial Disaster Management Authority while it rejected a resolution recommending to conduct recruitment tests in all provincial departments through National Testing Service (NTS).

The Leader of the House and his counterpart, Leader of the Opposition, attended the entire sitting.
