NA Sitting Adjourned Fourth Time due to Missing Quorum

ISLAMABAD, April 18, 2017: The National Assembly could not proceed to take up its regular agenda again on Tuesday due to lack of quorum. This is the consecutive fourth time that the sitting had to be adjourned due to missing quorum, observes Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN).

The House, however, unanimously adopted a resolution to condemn the cold-blooded murder of Mashal Khan, a student of Wali Khan University, Mardan, and expressed its resolve to insert strong safeguards in the blasphemy law to prevent its abuse.

The sitting remained suspended for 32 minutes due to lack of quorum pointed out by a PPPP lawmaker.
