PA: Low Attendance Sitting Debates Law and Order

ISLAMABAD, December 4, 2013: Starting 100 minutes late, the 4th sitting of the ongoing 5th Punjab Assembly session was marked by low attendance of MPAs as only 73 of them were present at the start of proceedings while 24 were there at the adjournment, says Free and Fair Election Network in its daily Factsheet.

The opposition benches continued their protest over the drone attacks and walked out from the House for two hours and 45 minutes.

Five MPAs – two PML-N, one each of PTI, JI and an Independent – expressed their views on law and order which consumed an hour and 15 minutes of the proceedings.

The Chief Minister remained absent while the Leader of the Opposition was present for 30 minutes.
