Sindh Assembly Adopts Resolution against MQM Workers’ Killing

ISLAMABAD, May 2, 2014: The Sindh Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution on Friday condemning the killings of four MQM workers in Karachi and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits during 18th sitting of the 12th session, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) in its Daily Factsheet.

A total of seven members – MQM (5) and PPPP (2) – took part in the debate that consumed 49 minutes of the proceedings. Four bodies of MQM workers were found from Memon Goth, Karachi on April 30, 2014 who had been missing since April 13, 2014.

A female lawmaker of MQM asked the Chair to give ruling for the release of young people from the custody of security agencies as her own 14-year old son was arrested last night and she succeeded in getting him released in the morning.
