Sindh Assembly Passes LG (Amendment) Bill

ISLAMABAD, February 24, 2015: Starting 44 minutes behind schedule, the Sindh Assembly unanimously passed the Sindh Local Government (Amendment) Bill 2015 during 16th sitting of its ongoing 18th session on Tuesday, says Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN).

Low attendance was witnessed during the sitting as 15 members (9%) were present at the start and 57 legislators (34%) at the time of adjournment.

The House also witnessed the passage of Sindh Insurance of Public Property Bill 2015 and adopted the resolution to include religious books in curriculum for minority students.
