Sitting Marked by Low Attendance

ISLAMABAD, September 5, 2012: The National Assembly met for two hours and 38 minutes during the third sitting of the ongoing 45th session on Wednesday witnessing low attendance of Members as only 78 were present at the outset and 112 were there at the adjournment.

Three Members – one each of the PPPP, PMLN and MMAP – spoke on the Motion regarding law and order in the country for 45 minutes.

The Prime Minister was present for 11 minutes while the Leader of the Opposition did not attend the sitting.
