Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) is a research based advocacy organization. It is also a civil initiative aimed at stimulating public dialogue on policies, inform public action, and activate social regrouping for establishing an institutionalized system of social development through emphasizing a responsible citizenship.
The core objective of establishing such an organization is to provide an interface between general public, academia, policymakers, legislators and media to discuss, debate, research, advice, advocate and demonstrate models of participatory and inclusive social development in the field, which should enhance social, political and economic spaces for the citizens of Pakistan.
SSDO undertakes research, planning, advocacy, campaigning and demonstration of pilot projects in the key thematic areas of women and girl rights, just and democratic governance, building peace and transforming conflicts, social, political and legal rights, local governance, community media and basic education.
