UFAQ Development Organization

UFAQ Development Organization (UDO) is a not-for-profit civil society organization that emerged in response to the challenges faced by the civil society in Pakistan, with regards to fighting poverty, social injustice, and governance related issues. It was established in 2002 and got registered under Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Mal Department, Government of Punjab.

UDO has a long-term plan to implement programs by promoting active community participation towards addressing and solving problems and issues/ needs perceived and felt by the beneficiaries and the community involved. The program interventions lead to gain experience in each of the working fields, which, in turn, widen the horizon of UDO with respect to undertaking more pragmatic and goal oriented programs for sustainable solutions for communities.

UDO’s vision is a society where the human values are promoted and everyone is equally provided with basic facilities. Its mission is to build a society by enhancing the expertise, knowledge and literacy rate of masses, where justice, peace, humanity and gender equality prevails.

UDO’s thematic pillars are community engagement and empowerment, governance, social services i.e. healthcare, education & wash and human rights along with cross cutting consideration of climate change, gender and disaster risk reduction.
