ISLAMABAD, January 5, 2012: The National Assembly met for three hours and 55 minutes, its 12th sitting of the ongoing session. Only the parliamentary leaders of the ANP, MQM and NPP attended the proceedings. Just as it was in previous sittings, Members’ attendance remained low. Only 66 Legislators were present at the start while 58 were there when the sitting was adjourned.
ISLAMABAD, January 4, 2012: The National Assembly, which met for three hours and 25 minutes on Wednesday, took up all agenda items on the Orders of the Day. Low attendance of Members persisted as 83 Legislators were present at the start of the sitting and 34 when it was adjourned.

A report based on prices collected from 182 retail outlets in 92 districts across Pakistan. ISLAMABAD, JAN 3: A Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) report on Tuesday said prices of 27 commodities increased in December 2011 compared to the preceding month while those of 20 others fell and five remained unchanged.

The PMLN walked out of the House protesting against the load shedding of gas, while the MQM boycotted the sitting over not receiving a satisfactory statement on their Calling Attention Notice regarding the increase up to 14% in the CNG prices.
ISLAMABAD, December 30, 2011: The National Assembly met for an hour and 52 minutes during the eight sitting of the ongoing session. Low Attendance of Members was observed as only 32 Legislators were present at the start and 74 when the sitting was adjourned. Sixteen Points of Order consumed 60% of the total time. However, none of the Points of Order attracted the Chair’s formal ruling.
