Budget Speech attracts more than 71% MNAs to NA Sitting

ISLAMABAD, June 01, 2012: Amid pandemonium, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue presented the budget during the first sitting of the 42nd session of the National Assembly on Friday. Starting 35 minutes late, the sitting lasted 36 minutes.

Turkish Prime Minister addresses joint sitting of parliament

ISLAMABAD, May 21, 2012: The joint sitting of the parliament met for 55 minutes, with almost 71% membership of both the Houses present. The sitting started 40 minutes late against the stipulated time of 1700 hours. The sitting was held in the honor of the Turkish Prime Minister, who is on a three-day visit to Pakistan.

NA passes bill on human rights commission

PMLN legislators again walked out of the House over the Supreme Court decision in the contempt case against the Prime Minister. They did not return to the House.
